You too!!! I am now at home... my incubator is in my classroom. We went back there after school and watched for a while.. not too much more action before we left. The looked a little bigger when we left
Gosh, I hope he makes it out tonight so when we get into school tomorrow there is a little chick!!!!!!

I'm at about 26 or so now. I've lost count, easier to try and count the unhatched eggs.

Well I have 2 out and in the brooder now! I don't have as many pips as I think I should on the other eggs tho.... They should all pip somewhat around the same time right? Also, it looks like we have one that did not make it still stuck in the egg. There is a big hole where it began to break through, can see a little fluff but there is no movement now. There is also one more pip where we can see some movement from the beak. At this point don't know how long to wait for the rest hatch day was Wed, March 30 and first 2 broke out at around 5am March 31st.

Daniellenoel, I had the pip around 4:15pm or so and we had a class last night..came home at 10pm...the hole was bigger and went fast from then! Zipped and out by 11pm!! Hubby and I watching...so cool!Today is #21 day..."official hatch day"...no other pips so far.
Emjay...you have a lot of chicks..your temp was fine...I'd get someone to lift lid quick while you snatched up chicks and put in a box to cart to brooder. Leave the egg shells...you want to be quick.

I have a chick! Naturally I have to go to work, but I just peeked and there's a little light brahma in there, a whole day early. And my temps were rock solid, verified by two thermometers.. So maybe it was just a chick on a mission. I have about 6 others pipping. Total is 40+, so I hope I don't come home tonight to see the bator so packed they can't move. LOL.

I have 4 pips and 1 chick!!!!

That chick must have really wanted out, we noticed him pipping about 10 pm last night and this morning he was already out and dry by 5:45 am. This is my first hatch ever, I thought for sure I'd kill them all, but at least I have 1 and it's day 20, Wooooooooohoooooo!!

For all of us "first timers".....isn't it amazing when you get one hatched?? We really think that not one will make it and when it does it is such an amazing thing!!
