Alright, I'm in! I've got loads of eggs here, and too bad they're due after Easter, because look at those colors. . .

Also as a note, this picture was taken with flash, so the color has been washed a little. They're soo beautiful, really.

Do you have pics of your Araucana eggs? I always love seeing those, as they are quite rare.

Just candled :

RIRs 17 of 18 developing, 1 clear Day 8

BOs 37 of 39 developing, 2 questionable Day 6

Picking up 78 more eggs Sunday. My customers and I are very excited.

Cheers! bj

I hope my one (maybe infertile) egg hatches! I had three set under the broody but 2 cracked at days 3 & 5. But if this egg is fertile and all goes well it shoudl hatch April 10th! Wish luck for a fertile egg!

Bator update... I now have 5 mutt eggs and 14 bantam eggs. The bantam eggs were picked up in a friend's yard. Some of their neighbor's chickens migrated

We looked at pictures online today to figure out what kind they are. They look closest to the mille fleur. Although I don't remember if these were bearded or not, but the markings were the same. They were quite shy and hid under the hedge when I tried to take a pic with my phone

My kids are super excited. They wanted bantams from the feed store, but they were sold out when we called. They are more excited about watching eggs hatch (and dad is excited about the 'free' part, lol)
