So my hatch ended on Sunday, but here's the chickies now!!

W/BW Ameraucana - Marked blue as it came from the bluest egg

All the chookies in the brooder!! - Jersey Giants, Black Copper Marans, Wheaten and Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas, and a Polish crossed Easter Egger!

The little white one on the left is the Polish cross chick - She'll end up laying mint green eggs.

- The pink marked Ameraucana and Blue marked Ameraucana are to watch their growth, the blue is from the bluest egg. Some of my BC Marans are marked orange underneath to see if I vent sexed them correctly. . . Orange marked chicks are males.

Adorable chick pictures, everyone!

I have my first chick hatched!

A light-colored OEGB! It's currently on its back and having a little trouble righting itself (maybe a little stuck to the shelf liner in there? Plus gravity), but it's been peeping and breathing well and looking at me. It's still wet. I'll post pictures once some more hatch. I've got TWELVE pips so far! Woohoo! Nobody's even technically due until tomorrow night, but thanks to being bantams, I've got some early birds.

EDIT: It's walking around now, and a second hatched--a dark one!

My (early to come, had to rush to get ready for them) company will arrive tomorrow. Finally got everything ready for them, as we were not prepared before. Wheeuu! Now I can relax & await their arrival.

Will start the MAY hatch-a-long by the end of the week. These are just so fun. Thanks for the reminder!

My little eggies are do saturday. I'm keeping a eye on humidity tonight and probably add a little water just to be safe. Really got to get glasses soon. Bad enough I'm blind, but trying to see through BCM shells is extra hard for me right now. I'm kind of worried I might have an early hatch though. I know I saw 2 little eggs rocking. Not a lot, but enough to keep me from falling a sleep any time soon.

Just wanted to add that I'm getting a kick out of all the pics. My 4 year old grand daughter lives with us and she makes me scroll up and down, over and over.

When does the May Hatch thread start? I'll have lots of hatch dates for May.........
