We have 7 Blue Splash Marans in a Brinsea Mini Advance due April 14th! First try at hatching ever! We got our eggs from Julie at Gabbard Farms. Keeping our fingers crossed

16 B/B/S Orpingtons, 8 French Blue or Black Copper Marans, and 7 BLRW. This is my 2nd hatch! Hoping for lots of little fuzzy butts!

I put 8 EE and 20 RIR eggs in my homemade incubator yesterday at 3:30 PM. They should hatch on April 15.

I just hatched 27 chicks( 2 others hatched but died), and have 7 eggs left in the incubator. I am waiting another day or so for any late hatchers. Then I will get the bator ready to go again. I am going to try to do a late April hatch if I can afford some good eggs. This first try was a test of my new incubator. I have a local source for Marans eggs and that is what I want to do next. He has several colors that he is breeding in separate pens, and I want some of each.

I have 28 eggs by proxy due the 13th.
I donated mutt eggs to a kindergarten class who is hatching them. My coworker is adopting them after and promised to keep me posted.

I *just* put 15 eggs into the 'bator! They are eggs from my aunt's flock: a buff orp roo over buff orp hens and barred rock hens. Their eggs are so similar that I don't know which is which...so it will be a surprise on hatch day whether we get sexlinks or BOs. YAY!!!!

I candled my eggs yesterday (04-02-2011), and all of them seem to be doing well.
