April Hatch-A-long come join!!

I want to join! I have mutt chicken eggs in the bator that are from RIR, Buff Orp, Americauna, White/Cornish, and one barnevelder hen. I should have alot of different looks I think. I also have 31 jumbo coturnix eggs in. They are all due to hatch the same time frame, between April 16-18. I have 21 chick eggs in there. Can hardly wait! I am on day 10 and I have candled all but the olive colored eggs and the dark eggs and they are all growing!! I candled a couple coturnix eggs too and they are also growing and doing well WOOHOO! Can't wait for peepers.

Of the 7 eggs in for lock down, 6 have hatched. The other one is rocking and rolling.

They hatched just in time, our power just went out! I put them in the brooder with hot packs, there's one egg left in the incubator, I hope the power comes back on soon or the duck eggs in my other incubator are in trouble

I hope your power problems are solved, soon!

I set 41 eggs in my new Hova Bator for the Easter weekend hatch. I know the 5 bantam eggs are going to be iffy because I don't know how long they sat on my folks' countertop. 12 of the eggs are Ameraucana eggs from rockinpaints, 15 eggs are from my Silkie-X hens, and the remainder are from my Buff Orp-X-Ameraucana. I should have an interesting batch of chicks!

Candled my 5 test eggs, they are on day 14. Lots of veins and movement, even my husband was interested in seeing, and he hates chickens! It's gonna be a long 7 days for me now, seeing as how it's my first hatch and I got a more eggs to go in when these hatch out!! This is addicting!!!

Hello

Collin my (18 yr old) placed 6 eggs under 2 broodies on 3/27th 4 eggs are black cochin bantams, two are regular brown eggs - hoping one was from the cuckoo maran with the copper maran roo but it could be a mix. Our hatch date is April 17th.

One egg the broody tossed out of the nest, I put it back but later it was cracked so I took it out. We now have 3 bantam eggs cooking and 2 standard.

Both broodies are doing well and acting broody. They leave each day for a little sip and sup and back on the eggs. Sometimes I have to check the nest because I keep finding a new egg unmarked under the broody - can't have that!

Just went down to my bator because I couldnt wait any longer to candle them. Everything is looking awesome. I had 100% fertility. so out of the 48 eggs that I set there are 47 that are still looking good and all veiny. The one that didnt make it had a detached air cell and it looked like it made it to day 6 or so but who really knows. All but one egg is from my Americanas and are mostly all blue eggs. I have a pink one or two but most are blue. Cant wait for the hatch as I am getting some new eggs to hatch out for another project on the 28-29.
