Sounds AWESOME!! I am setting this Sunday. I have several breeds! I wish I could find someone around here that has blue eggs or chicks from blue eggs. I would LOVE to have some!

So I will be setting Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, Lt Brahmas, Dk Brahmas, Blue Maran x Blue Wheaten, BBS Silkies and POSSIBLY a couple of Blue Wyandottes! PHEW! Exciting hatch it will be

Well, Lock down for me is MONDAY.... and the egg that I had to repair with wax is still in there.... I can't tell about what's going on in there it's a dark Maran egg.... And I didn't want to pick it up, so I just let it be... So there's
7 Wheaton Maran
10 BLRW....

That I'm
Waiting patiently for ....

The three chicks hatched over Saturday are thriving: our first ones! Six white Maran and six assorted eggs in the incubator now. The end of the month could be busy. A Coucou de France has been stealing neighbouring eggs and adding them to her own clutch. Nipped that in the bud but intrigued to see how she copes.

Got 2 pipped and they're chirping...this will be a long day!!!! How do you guys hatch so often?! So excited

UPDATE 3 of my 5 have hatched

and are now in the brooder. Did a float test on the other 2, one is viable the other died at some point. Cracked it open to check it out and no chick was visable but had developed some. So the last egg is still in the bator...then on with our second hatch (larger of course

Hi! Today is hatch day for us, our first time and we are nervous. I'm worried because the incubator we rented didn't seem to produce moisture and I didn't learn about the humidity part till I read up here. I candles the eggs and a handful look good, nice large shadow and visible air sack. Should I be able to see movement when I candle them? I haven't heard any peeping and I'm worried. I really want at least one chick out of this! By the way, we did this for educational purposes for my girls to experience and the farm we got the eggs from will take the chicks along with the incubator since we are not able to accommodate them.
Thanks for reading and wish me luck!
