Congratulations! That's a good kind of trouble to be in.
This is only my second time hatching and first time hatching shipped eggs. Well, I'm going to be in trouble because I told my husband only 6/12 at the most would hatch because they were shipped and I just woke up to 9 walking and peeping and 1 more zipping out. They were blrw eggs I got off eBay and traveled from Missouri to California. Also, I made the mistake of putting them right in the incubator with the turner on and then read after about letting them settle. I thought for sure I would have a terrible hatch rate. I just wanted to share my excitement and relief with this hatch. All my new babies look perfect and I couldn't be happier! Now to tell the husband about my chicken math...![]()

I ordered 5 eggs, and expected a 50% hatch rate (2 or 3 chicks), but the seller sent me 10 eggs (!) and nine hatched. That's crazy chicken math! Good thing I don't have a husband.
