Candled today is day 8.

6 clear out of 12 Silkies
2 clear out of 12 showgirls
all 4 wellsummers are good

Other bator has
bourbon red turkeys
ringneck pheasant
cotornec quail
OEGB's

60 should be ok for the last few days. How did your air look when you candled ?

Well we candled and moved egs to the hatcher last night. Out of 96 eggs set, 25 infertile, 8 with blood rings and 63 that are alive and well. Should have babies anytime now. Dancing and singing.

10 warm little eggs went into the hatcher this morning.....

One is chirping and rocking her little world.

Hooray cute little chickies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm starting a new hatch tomorrow. So excited.

I did however crack open my 2 none hatchers... one actually absorbed part of the yolk before it died. There was a hairline crack in the egg I could barely see near the airsac. The second egg only developed the 1st week and the yolk had scrabbled inside the egg.

Its ok though, have my fingers crossed for a better hatch next time. Will set the eggs I have in the morning. 8 will be my next attempt and they were shipped so we'll see.

I set 32 shipped eggs and 1 pullet egg from my partridge silkie
on 4-8.
Hopefully, I'll get my other 24 eggs soon so we can get those
silkie eggs going too.

this is my first time hatching and will be my first time owning chickens. i bought some eggs of off ebay, 3 splash silkie eggs and 3 whites, but i got two extra whites! one of the whites was out of his shell at 11:30 this morning and i hear some more pipping...i am sooo excited!
