Gutted, after 1st batch hatching, itching to do another but going away for 4 days in a few weeks so its a no go, looking forward to coming home already!!!

I can't keep up with all the hatches! April is a busy, busy month!!!

So, of the 13 goose eggs I set, one was discarded at lockdown on Tuesday. As of this morning, ELEVEN others have hatched!!!!!

I checked and the air cell on the 13th one is still small so I will give it another couple of days before an eggtopsy.

Otherwise, YAY!!!!!!!!!!!

They are unbelievably cute. I mean, seriously KEE-UTE!

I have never hatched duck eggs. Yet! lol

Wow, so many updates to read! Congrats to those with chicks!
I had 8 hatch this week out of 13. I think my humidity was a bit low the few days before lockdown.
Here they are. The dad is a Cream Legbar and the two hens I collected eggs from are a Welsummer and a Lohmann brown hybrid.

First one to hatch last night! I have since had 8 cheeps come out and are now in the brooder. More on the way including some of my mail order BCM's. Wife and kids are as excited as I am. Nice to be able to sustain your own hobby and flock.
