I think they have to pip internally before they can churp in the egg, or they will not have any air to churp with. At least I would think this to be correct, as there should be no churp sound with liquid. So if the eggs are churping, they have piped internally, I would think.

I can hear chirping but I just don't know which egg it is coming from. My husband just called and my first that pipped last night, is just about out, so it sounds like he or she fell into the 12 hour category. Wish I didn't have to work today!

3 of the 13 have me worried though - I can't see movement in them and there is a bit more light passing through them than the others. One BIG chick looks like he's about to pop in there. I think I might actually stop turning/lock down on the morning of Day 17. I have no idea how the one guy is going to not pop his shell early and don't want him doing it while I'm away at work and can't up the humidity for him. Compared to the other eggs this one looks like he's days more developed somehow. When I go to do lock down I'm going to mark this egg and see if I'm right who hatches first.
Already picked out a name for the first to hatch - that chick will be Dr Peeper.I know you can do it BIG guy egg! Fail to hatch first and I"ll just call you Chunky!

Oh my. "She" is so cute and tiny! Congrats!She's lonely.. Some of the others need to get hatching so she has a friend her size. She did (sorta) make friends with my pit bull.. She was pecking at his nose.. lol He has no idea what she is but he's definitely curious.
I now have 27 babies running around!!!!! One died after pipping. I still have 2 eggs to hatch, and they have not even pipped yet, today is day 22! I hope those hatch too! Here is a pic of some of the babies all fluffed out!
