No worries many of us have staggered hatches or multiple ones going on at once. My 2nd set of Ameraucunas is on day 4 today. These are the ones I am hopeful to get more hens.... if only they were like gators and you could alter temps to get boys or girls!
well, the tom is a Bourbon red. So it's entirely possible they are bourbons, but the Narragansett was laying in the coop and the bourbon hens in the nesting drum. So, I just cannot tell until they get their adult plumage. These eggs as well as the ones in my LG 9200 were collected either from the goat house (one of the bourbon red hens laid there) or the coop where the NG laid eggs. I didn't collect any from the nest drum. I think turkey chick are almost as fun to raise as the one gosling I have is a question..it wants to be close to us, but doesn't care for being touched and will run from you. But let it see you've left it's sphere of comfort and you hear it and see it running full tilt to get close to you. But the turkey chicks answer your call whistle and run to see if you have something for them.They look a lot like my bronze turkey chicks
