Araucana breeders: Can you believe this? Should we all flag or report

I think selling & buying poor quality birds for over the odds, happens all the time.
I expect the vendor doesn't even know their birds are not up to scratch. Perhaps they are very proud of their birds. Even if you told them they'd probably be hurt & offended, that is the way people tend to be when someone criticises their possession.
As people are very keen to point out. People ought to do their homework & find out what is expected of the breed before paying high prices for birds. It's buyer beware.

You can always post an informative ad about the difference between the birds and what that equates to when paying for rare breeds versus the mixed breed ee's.

I love all my birds, no matter what breed, but at least I know if they are pure bred or Designer Chicken and I would never mislead anybody.

I am not near Palm Springs, but in beautiful San Diego. Oh, and BTW: I have REAL Ameraucana....

I agree, i have mutts i love just as much as my ameraucana's. And San Diego....lord i miss that place. hubby is from rancho bernardo and i lived in spring valley. I worked in the gas lamp district for awhile.

Come back girl and together we will convert everyone in town to raising chickens.....Anyhow, at least shoot me a PM next time you are visiting.........

will do! We were gonna come back this year but have to wait till next year. My BF still lives in spring valley and his family is all over the north county~
