I think there is confusion here about what is being called an Araucana. If you got it from a hatchery, IT IS NOT AN ARAUCANA, therefore the personality is not that of an Araucana.
An Araucana is this
The Araucana has tufts - not a beard or muffs. It has no tail like this
The personality of a hatchery Easter Egger is fairly different from the Araucana. Araucanas are self sufficient, good foragers, love to explore and get into things. They tend to get along with other birds, but are very aware of themselves and the opinion they have of themselves. They love to go broody and raise babies. Araucana are rare and can be difficult to obtain, and expensive to purchase.
My hatchery Easter Eggers don't wander very far. They tend to be low man on the totem pole. I have never had an Easter Egger go broody or raise babies. They tend to lay all year long. They are a quiet bird. They are not rare and can be found at any hatchery, feed store, and Tractor Supply. They usually cost $ 2.00 to $4.00 per chick. They have a beard and muffs like this
So if the OP is asking about the muffed, tailed, bearded Easter Egger, they are a nice backyard chicken. But lets be sure of what bird they want to know about. They said Araucana. Illia and I are giving them the details on the true Araucana.
