This is my first time with araucanas and pea comb chicks in general. I want to say cockerel because of the comb color, but I have no clue. This one is 4 weeks old. I will probably have to wait until it’s older, but any good guesses are helpful 🤷‍♀️

Also, what would you call this color? Just regular partridge?

(They white cockerel in the pic is for comparison)

Definitely a cockerel. Love the ear tufts! He may be mixed variety but looks similar to duckwing (partridge) :)
Thanks! He’s super cute and funky. Now I can officially name him Shrek, because those tufts really stick out lol 👍

Just adding an update here to show off Shrek’s adult coloration- barred partridge/duckwing/crele? Idk what to call it, but I love it. He’s 17 weeks here 👍

What are those barred looking chickens in the 4th photo? They are gorgeous!
Idk which barred chickens you’re asking about (most of the flock is barred lol) but I have barred Olive Eggers, Crested Cream Legbars, and the Araucana cockerel is a barred/partridge/duckwing mix color
