Araucana hatching eggs?

The more I read about the araucana the less I am interested in trying to source them. The hatch rate is what seems to be the biggest problem.

It just depends on the breeding practices. Shipping is bad for eggs period, even in super great hatching breeds. If the breeder has both parents tufted, then that automatically makes roughly ¼ of the eggs DIS before shipping damages can get to them. A lot of smaller breeders also can't/won't ship chicks because of NPIP or other hassles like keeping them warm enough, cost of shipping or just time needed. I love mine, and when I move I will definitely try to get them again (though I'll probably aim for bantams this time) but it took ke years to find a source and even then it didn't turn out well for my flock as a whole.
