Araucana hatching eggs?

I am fairly new to chickens. Please go see my chickens here: https://www.youtube.com/@TexasBlues3000/videos

I am aware of the lethal double tuft gene and the lower than average hatch rates with aruacanas.
There’s 2 reason I would start with eggs.
1st is I get the first choice of the chicks that hatch. If I buy chicks from a breeder, there’s a good chance that the breeder would sell their culls that they don’t want to keep.
2nd is bio security. I feel more comfortable getting eggs than live birds that may be carriers of disease.

I would be hesitant to order from Sky blue only for the reason they only ship 9 eggs. I’m thinking I would need more than that to get some quality chicks.

If you buy from a hatcherh and get them deliverd. ur first reason is fixed but then u still arent guerenteed all females. if u get eggs try cackle hatchery for chicks or fertile eggs and then awsomeamarucanas that u linked up there.

Hatcheries are not the same as breeder quality. They want great quality birds not mediocre
