For him to have a beard, at least one of his parents should have a beard as well.

No, the Silver Laced Wyandotte in that photo does not have a beard.

In your first post, the first photo shows a rooster with a beard (sitting on the roof), a hen in the bottom right with a beard, and one in the bottom left with no beard.

So, an update!
First of all- I think those who said our Aricauna hen was probably the mother are right. His face DOES look a lot like hers.
Second, he started crowing the next day lol! So there is no doubt!
Ive named him 'Gaston' since his papa is 'Handsome' and we live in Gaston, Oregon haha!
