Araucana tailless offspring forever?

I had an Araucana roo over EE hens. All chicks are rumpless and I've read that gene is dominant. So will all those chicks grow up and produce rumpless chicks no matter who they're bred to? I love my rumpless chicks and surprisingly they seem to be all pullets! Actually I forgot my Silkie was bred by him too and one silkie mix hatched and has a tail!

Just wondering how many generations a dominate gene from only one parent will carry over?

Nobody knows if the rumpless gene carries on through several generations even if by only one parent?

As long as at least one parent has a dominant trait, it will continue to be passed on indefinitely.

If a bird is pure for a dominant trait then every single offpsring will get it. (maybe your araucana roo is an example of this)

If a bird not pure for a dominant trait is bred to a bird lacking the trait, only half of offspring will get it. (your rumpless araucana- ee cross chicks are examples of this).

For example, if you breed the araucana-ee crosses to a tailed bird, only half of the chicks will be rumpless and half will have fully normal tails. You can repeat this using a rumpless from each generation to a tailed bird forever and they will all throw a mix of rumpless/tailed.

BTW often when crossing rumpless to taileds,ther will be variations in how rumpless they are. Things like no tail nose but there can be a few tail feathers sticking out from the area etc. (usually the ones with tail feathers cannot move them at all and they can stick out at awkward angles, it is still very obvious they have the rumpless gene)
