Araucana thread anyone?

@Trish1974 thanks for asking! The chicks are 4-5 days old now and getting easier to ascertain their rump/tuft more accurately. We're calling them all girls and hoping we're right.

This is Loretta, 5 days old, the first chick to hatch, NN/Aracuana mix. I can't tell yet about rump/rumpless and may be clean-faced or not, I can't really tell yet:

This is Sally, 4 days old, Norwegian/Araucana mix, seems to have a rump, but I can't really tell and seems to be clean faced:

This is Patsy, 4 days old, NN/Araucana mix, seems rumpless and double-tufted, but she's still kind of small to be sure about that:

Here's a second picture of Patsy

Adorable!!! :love Oooh, those NNxAraucana chicks!!

I let the juvenile delinquents out into the big run yesterday evening for about an hour. They were scared, they stayed in a tight circle barely venturing 6' past their coop. Cholo was the first one over and just watched them from about 2' away. Then the two cockerels started chest-bumping and wing-flapping. As one of them jumped backwards he bumped right into Cholo. The little cockerel whipped around, raised his hackles and ATTACKED Cholo!!! Well, Cholo thumped him a couple times then took his foot and slammed him to the ground, held him there for a couple seconds, and when he let him up the cockerel ran away. It was kind of disturbing to see Cholo aggressive, as I never had before. But little man had it coming!
This morning, I saw the little cockerel in with Manolito's flock run after Mano and raise his hackles at him! Mano thumped him pretty hard. I don't know what he was thinking...he comes up to Mano's knee for pete's sake!

I had that last night. The kids were out with the adults, and I'd thrown down some pellets. The kids were eating and my GLW comes over to investigate. Varric puffed up, and ran at her. The GLW threw him down and pecked him once really good before Varric turned and ran. I was like, jeez boy. You gotta figure yourself out!

:gigLittle Mano Jr., at a whopping 5 weeks old, decided to try to crow this morning! :lau
What's with the early developing cockerels this year? My group of chicks last year didn't start crowing until 12/13 weeks! Last night I tried to bring these two chicks outside, but they weren't having it. They are currently in a sectioned off area of the Mano/Mama flock coop where Lil Girl raised her chick. I put up a board against the door way as a ramp, took my hand and started tapping at it, trying to get them to follow my hand down. They did, but stopped halfway down and walked up my hand and perched on my arm. I could tell by the way they were looking around they were scared. So me and my little mottled parrots sat there for about 10 minutes then I put them back and told them we would try again tomorrow evening. I just love raising chicks! (As long as they are outside!)

Finally heard from Ann. These guys are shipping tomorrow. Help me with color names please. So far I'm thinking it's GDW, black and maybe mottled?
