Araucana thread anyone?

Ahsoka is broody! Part of me wants to get eggs and give them to her, and part of me is worried, since this is her first time.

Do we know anybody who does eggs? Erm... in a timely fashion?
Whom ever is the closest to you is what I recommend. Not just for less time but less stress on the eggs. You know what they say about shipped eggs.
Another thing to consider is how cold your winters are. Ours are brutal so I won't hatch anymore this year. The hen and chicks I got from Nancy U. last fall were hatched the first week of September, and she told me to keep a close eye on them because they sometimes do not survive the cold when they are that young.

What about the lady you got Ahsoka from, does she have any Araucana eggs? :fl

Unfortunately, she'd told me a while back that her whole flock had been decimated.

Hmm... I'm going to have to go on the FB page and see who's closest.

Oh, just fyi, the lady I got Cholo from bought eggs from Macopin Farms last year and she hatched out a couple with tails...

We hatched eggs from Macopin farms, too, with limited results. None with tails, but also none with traits of the Standards that you’d want to use to establish breeding stock.
If you’re looking for backyard stock, Macopin will fit the bill.

I think my friend ordered 18 eggs and only 3 hatched. Two with tails and none were tufted.
