I love summer temps! I am NOT ready for fall... or as I call it, the season of death and darkness! But I know Frazz wants it to cool down so she can get her chicks!

But I'm also a four season type of girl. When the current season is winding down, I'm about ready for the next. I can't wait for some fall colors and smells. I just don't want to deal with snow. I love snow, I just want them to figure out how to not let it land on my driveway or the roads!

Good! I've been jotting down who I'd like to breed to who next year. Of course not all the chicks are sexed so its not set in stone. I planned to keep only 4 extra cockerels...but there are 7 I want and not enough room. Back to the drawing board!

Doing well. College is annoying.

I've been jotting down who I'd like to breed to who next year. Of course not all the chicks are sexed so its not set in stone. I planned to keep only 4 extra cockerels...but there are 7 I want and not enough room. Back to the drawing board!

Are there any that have obvious flaws that will make them culls and not keepers?

Ratchet's son:

I'm thinking Sis is a sis. This chick is a full sibling to MJ and Sis but is 3 weeks younger. I noticed he is starting to get his saddle feathers, and ALL of his face is red whereas Sis isn't red on the earlobes or behind the eyes. I wanted to keep him, but have an opportunity to get rid of him. There are 2 chicks in Mama's clutch that will probably look just like him so I'm considering letting him go.

Is he Mottled? I’d try and grow the other 2 out before you let Ratchet’s son go so you can choose the best of the 3 to keep.
