I have a tufted splash roo chick that will be ready to go in about two weeks. Let me know your email and I will send you pics.

Here is a pic of my broody and her new bunch.

The blue one laying down has two nice big tufts but it cant lift its head. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow. I was happy to see it was still alive.

Oh Lanae, you're an awful tease with your hatching talk and your BEAUTIFUL momma there doing her thing with her babies; they look fat, happy and healthy. Go chickies, go!!!!!!!! You know that I'll be crossing my fingers for that little blue one of yours.
If your house is old enough to have that sort of damage, then it is old enough to have some serious character, and those are the best houses out there (as long as you've got a handy man built into the deal, which you do

).

Anyhoo, thanks for posting the photos. They'll just have to tide me over the next couple of months.

I would love it if I had an old house. Our last home we sold when we bought this one was really old. It used to be a barn and had been turned into a house. It had cindar block walls. We made it beautiful. Then the opportunity came to buy the property we live on and couldn't pass it up but the house is a newer modular. The person that installed the dishwasher didn't do it correctly and it leaked at the wall just a drip for 3 years before we bought our property. Totally rotted the studs and sill plate. Its all new and good now and I have my cabinets in so I am happy.

That little hen is such a nice bird. She didn't fuss at me even though I kept dragging her babies out so I could get a pic of them. I am thrilled she decided to go broody. Now if her sister will it would be great.

I went and checked on the new babies this morning and fed mommy. What do you know but out pops this beautiful tufted blue. It survived the night as if nothing was wrong. I will try to get more pics. They were all running around and pecking her food when I left to feed the other chickens. Right now I have 3 definate tufted chicks and at least one more that I remember being tufted, but once they fluffed out, now I am not so sure. But she has 8 healthy babies still.
