Here are some pics I took yesterday of my bantam Araucana. They are all partly tailed it looks like but only one or two feathers it looks like? I though they were tuffed when they were smaller but now I can’t tell?

I also had a batch of Skyblue eggs that four of nine made it to the hatching bator (day 18) but sadly no hatches but try try again got another batch of skyblue eggs in bator now and presently keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm sorry about your eggs from skyblueegg. None of mine from her even began to develop, which is so much better than slaving over the eggs for three weeks and THEN not having a hatch. What a disappointment. Cudos to you for trying again. Your chicks look great! I was trying to see if it looked like any tufts but can't tell from the pictures, and don't know if I would be able to tell anyway. Your white chick is beautiful, just beautiful. It will be interesting to see what becomes of that comb....... I'm curious to know about the eggs that they hatched from - I was very surprised by the eggs that I received from skyblueegg because they were all khaki green and very very small. The eggs that my bantam Araucana's lay are just the most gorgeous shade of blue that I have ever seen in an egg - even in my Ameraucana chickens - and SO much larger than the eggs I received in the mail. Is this abnormal for this breed? The eggs that you hatched these chicks from - what color were they, if you don't mind my asking. I'm not complaining about the eggs from Skyblueegg, just curious now as to how this all works. I will absolutely be breeding my little foursome of banty Araucanas just to try to keep the great egg quality that they are producing, but there is only one hen who is even close to being the standard. Best to you on your current hatch - I'll send you strong chick vibes from Montana.
