Oh No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So sorry! Everything I have read says that Araucana eggs are far more fragile than the majority of other hatching eggs, but I have yet to read an explanation of why? The lethal gene causes the chicks to die in the shell shortly before hatching, as I understand it, not to be infertile. I've been wondering if the bantam Araucana eggs are so fragile due to a lack of genetic diversity in the breed and thus a weaker gene pool ????? The exploding egg is not a good reflection on the seller of the eggs in my humble opinion. I hope you get some hatches, I really, really hope so.
I just went to skyblueegg to re-order hatching eggs (not one of her other order even began to develop) but found that she is selling pre-orders for day old bantam chicks. It's a hefty price, but considering the amount of money that could easily be sucked down the drain trying to hatch shipped eggs, it seems worth it to me!!!
