You can pick him up and feel for his hip bones where the legs meet the body, then feel between the leg area towards the tail bone area, if your hand goes in he's rumpless, if you feel the parsons nose as they call it he's tailed or partially tailed, he looks rumpless with extended tail folicle, it's easy to check him and know.

I have a double tufted blue with gold leakage, rumpless boy for sale on my website. He is 6 months right now and on loan for the next month to a friend. But he will be available when he comes back. I do ship. So far everywhere I have shipped has been $ 60.00 box and freight.

Thank You Poularde,

I am having fun with it. Mostly it is a picture book with info on breeders. I have tried to put some info on the history of the araucana.

If anyone has thoughts on what info you would like to see in a book about araucanas, I do welcome suggestions.

The difference between them and EE's and Ameraucanas. . .

I know, it is getting old. But another very important one is the difference between ours and ones from Aussie, UK, etc.

Also, it would be lovely if you could round up people with different and lesser known AOV colors such as Red, Buff, Mille Fleur, Cuckoo, . . . I think that's all I can think of for the moment.

I myself am hoping to create either Quail or straight Columbian colored Araucanas in the future.

90% of the pics are AOV so that is covered. I and you Illia almost exclusively have pics of cuckoo, barred, splash, blue, and mottled araucana, so that is covered. I havn't touched on the difference between the araucana, ameraucana and the EE. I have been considering. Its pretty important. I am working on the wording just havn't put it in the rough draft yet. I wanted to have a page for each of the standard color varieties, but havn't received many pics of the standards. Cindy has sent me pics of the black and whites, and I have pics of the duckwings, but havn't got a pic of a really good bbr roo and hen. I also need a silver duckwing roo pic.

So many thoughts. I have to make the book bigger. It is not going to be done as soon as I had hoped, so I keep printing completed pages on photo paper and putting them in a binder to haul around with me.

Oh and I forgot to mention! There are also mottled Araucanas out there, too.
