If you want more mottled birds, you need to breed with a mottled. Mille fleur would work also, although the pattern will probably not be as refined as a bird carrying two copies of Pg Ml. If you can;t find a mottled or mille fleur, breed to a black, then breed those offspring back to the mottled mama or to each other. Since you are working toward a specific goal, you should not breed to recessive white--you never know what genes that bird will be introducing that can mess up the pattern or colours.

This is my buff cockerel, 5 months old. He is developing really well, even thou he has no tufts, but he is doing really well with the hens. What do you think of him in terms of his color, type, etc? Also, since he is my only buff, what will be the best match in terms of color to get more buffs? I have black, splash, black breasted red and blue hens.

Mottled & cuckoo Araucana bantams
Cuckoo Cockerel, doubble tuffed and rumpless, Ear tuffs are thinned out a little. Due to a pecking hen.

In looking over the photos of Araucana roosters, it looks like an awful lot of dropped wings - but I've seen a lot of this over at the Araucana breeders club forum also, so it this a desirable trait in Araucana males, or a problem of the breed?
One of my little two week old chicks with the bilateral tufts was bloody this morning. It looks for all the world like the other chicks are picking at her tufts. How rotten is that?
