After looking around some, I think the hen in my photo in the front might be a blue birchen. What would you call the color on your bird?

I don't think your hen is blue birchen. Here is a pic from the net of a black birchen. You can fade the black to blue to know what a blue birchen would look like.

And here is a picture of a silver duckwing. This is one of Lanae's birds. Once again, if add blue, this looks closer to your hens color.


It looks like extrajava has a blue cockerel with red leakage.

Tell us more. How did you introduce Dun? Do you have any pictures?

I did not introduce Dun, I discovered it already present in my Araucana. He has produced one dark brown chick as well which died at 3 days old before I could take it's photo. I will hatch more eggs but the hen I used has been broody and isn't laying. I'm stud mating to repeat these colors... (When she's ready to come off her invisible eggs).
