Araucana thread anyone?

I know it's not the ideal time of year, but...
Does anyone have bantam araucana eggs available? I'm looking for maybe 1/2 dozen or so. Open to any/all colors.
Please let me know.

I adopted her yesterday from our local Humane Society. Can anyone tell me if she's a true Aracauna!

do your araucanas lay in winter? I have got one that was supposed to start laying but she does not. I asked the breeder I got her from and he says that his araucanas don't lay in winter. when I googled about araucanas the most people say they lay some eggs in winter.

Mine do but not many. I consider winter time their break. It takes a lot of resources to make eggs. It lets them rest a little. However, I live in a much higher latitude than you do, with shorter, colder days during the winter. I'd expect a warmer climate like Greece would result in more winter eggs. I guess that is not the case?

as I have only 1 pullet that is at point of lay I cannot be sure. there has been fowl pox in my flock for months now so that can be another reason. another pullet is 6 months old and I will see if she will start laying soon.

the breeder has them in the cold coop with almost no sunshine, so warm climate does not help his chickens. his place is full of big trees which is good in summer but not in winter.

Hi again everyone. I posted this under the what breed and gender section but I think it got buried. You all are the best ones to ask anyway!
Can you tell by my pictures how old my little adopted girl looks! I've had her for 6 days and there hasn't been an egg laid. Not a big deal, it's winter and all. But I wonder if I'll ever get an egg from her?

She has awful crooked toes, but other than that seems completely healthy and happy.
