Araucana thread anyone?

After getting a better look at them this morning, I think they may be splash. The white hen has some splash markings. Yes the roo has tufts on both sides. The hens do not. The roo almost has a slight yellow sheen to his saddle feathers. The splash hen and roo have slate legs. The darker hen has a pattern to her blue she also has yellow legs. I wasn't sure if she is a silver duckwing? Or blue barred?

The white pullet does not look splash to me. I've never seen a splash that nearly white. She looks like she might have the columbian gene, but the markings are really pale.

The dark pullet looks like she carries the barred gene.

And I wonder how I got subscribed to this thread lol. I don't have any araucanas.

Ok, I am thinking that colors other than white are supposed to have colored legs.

You have some very nice looking birds there. Regarding the 'yellowing' of your rooster's feathers - the sunlight does that.

This is my new roo, Donald. I have never owned an araucana before. Could anyone here tell me his plumage color? And is it true that rumpless birds are missing their oil gland at the base of the tail?. If so, how do they weatherproof themselves?
