So araucana and ee are not the same right? I have an EE rooster and a hen from him. They are both bearded and she just started laying a beautiful pastel blue egg. I didn't know when I purchased these I'm incubating that they possibly
Might be tufted. I want beards, not tufts. :/
Just a public service announcement. This seller of eggs on eBay is pretty darn good. Incredible packaging skills. They proably could have been dropped from a plane and made it intact. Also, they sent me 11 eggs total, for a 6+ listing. I'm used to an egg or two extra, so getting five extras was pretty grand! http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Standard-...ultDomain_0&hash=item19fba6c3e0#ht_3016wt_968
My normal ability to hyperlink is gone. I am using a computer with an out of date IE browser. Ah well, there is the link! They've been offering regular auctions. Haven't gone too high. I got some for a fairly low price, but I did pay for express shipping.
Purebred Araucanas are definitely different from Easter Eggers. And if you got eggs from bearded birds, the chicks will be bearded. It also means you don't have Araucanas.
Tufts are a dominant trait, so if none of the birds you got eggs from are tufted, you will not have tufts. So at least you don't have to worry about that!
Check with some of the folks here on the Araucana threads, they offer eggs occassionally! When I was looking for Araucana eggs there were none on ebay. What bad timing! Maybe next time...
