Araucana thread anyone?

Yes it is. And I have want to start dating my senior year of college and get married.
In a way that is good - relationships are a big distraction! I spent 7 1/2 years in college; and that was going year round, no summers off. I didn't date much during that time and I'm glad I didn't. School was hard enough without any distractions. Once I got to grad school, credit hours for our trimesters (we did trimesters instead of semesters) were typically in 20-30 hour range.

Don't rush the marriage part! LOL Coming from somebody who's been divorced twice!
In Orthodox Jewish circles the dating scene is done in a bit of a unique way. It’s hard to explain, but you submit a resume to the matchmaker and she sends you the resume of someone who looks like a good match for you and then you meet in person and it goes from there.

My senior year I dated a guy who was supposed to have an arranged marriage (not at the time). I can't remember his faith...it was similar to Kabbalah... I would know it if I heard it. Anyways, we were such a good match and we tried to keep out relationship a secret but his nosy sister ratted him out to his parents. They made him dump me and it was one of the most heartbreaking experience for both of us. :(

Gosh, I wish I could remember what religion he was. I started studying it and loved it! He was ethnically Persian... but born and raised in Trinidad. He said his parents (and others) were ran out of Persia because of their religion. I'm sure it will come to me when I'm trying to fall asleep tonight!

So, in its way, you have a 'Match.com' thing, but through a person. I mean, if I was to completely simplify it.
That can honestly work very well, if the match maker is good at what they do.
I guess you could say that. It is up to the people dating to call the references
given though.
