On page 138 Kathy Brunson says that Mottling is good for tuft formation. She also says to read the chapters on Black and Spangled Araucanas and use the information to improve your Mottled Araucanas.

@Trish1974 did you end up hatching any chicks from Bluebell?
Yes, three...but one died. One of the chicks is the darker blue chick in my Facebook post, and the other Bluebell/Buck chick is the one I gave to Bonita and Lil' Girl that is being raised in the flock.

Yep think so too. That explains why they're only $5. I can get much better quality than that here and not have to drive 2 hours.

I was only working a travel mammography position. It was a 13 week job. I don't do travel ones any more. I have a full time position as an x-ray tech. Name's Katrina by the way. My dad used to call me RinaRoo was little.
After I signed up, my I realized that people my think it has something to do with chickens, lol.
If anyone is wondering, my profile pic was taken while standing on the Arctic Ocean in April I believe.
It's almost been 24 hours, and one of Triton/Triple Tuft's hens has gone broody If she is still in the nest Sunday, I'll slip a half dozen eggs under her. I LOVE the broodiness of this breed!
In fact, I think I'll go ahead and put 6 eggs in the incubator to give them a head start. I keep a dozen hatching eggs on hand in case someone goes broody, and half of those are due to be disposed of early next week...so why not?!
