Thanks. I dont know much about colors yet. AS i am learning about this breed. This is my first year.

I realize that, I forgot to add the LOL after my statement. It was more a comentary on his third tuft than anything else.

Wow, that's kind of bizarre. Maybe you could start a line of Araucanas with tufts encircling the whole head. They'd look like lions. That would be cool.

No quad tufts or tufts encircling the head people. Although I should have triple the chance for tufts right? With my luck it would triple the tufts not triple the chance.LOL!!

Could you imagine if you could get the head featherless and with many peduncles featherless as well, it would look like a chicken Pin head from the movie called hell raisers. O for those who didn't know peduncles (finger like appendages) are what the feathers/tufts grow out from on the araucana

I just have 2 roosters and one pullet who hasn't started laying yet. One rooster has tufts and he's so cool but I haven't gotten any fertile eggs from him yet. I've tried trimming vents but he may be too old, I can't tell. My clean faced rooster is very fertile and since I don't have Araucana hens for him yet, he's been practicing on a couple of Ameraucana hens and I got the cutest, rumpless babies

Here is one of the chicks, just a cute as can be. I kept 3 of the dozen I hatched, most were rumpless. There is also a black chick and a red chick that has blue fluff under the red, talk about a cool looking color. I haven't gotten a good enough picture of the red one to share yet.
