Araucana thread anyone?

I want to say pullet but how old and does it have any red or gold in the shoulders.

They are approx 8-9 weeks...not sure about the coloring let me go look...

None of my roos are aggressive at all.  There is the occasional chicken spat where they chase each other around or someone gets a bloody comb, but soon its sorted and that is the end of it.  I never add just 1 new roo to the pen,  I add several at a time and always at night.  I have 3 different rooster pens that have different breeds of roosters, there is a top rooster but everyone knows it and there is peace most of the time.  Things get unsettled for a while when I add new roos but nothing major.

I took some more pics it does have some goldish colored barring on the shoulder areas when I spread the wing out there is mahogany brown I also noticed some greenish color here and there. The breeder has golden duckwing color in her line so I was wondering if it is a Golden Duckwing roo ???? This picture is with the wing spread out...

Yes my roos are housed with their own set of girls but I never let two breeding pens out foraging together. And I never let a roo without girls out foraging with another rooster and his girls. Thats just asking the roos to fight.

Silver duckwing rooster if its 8 weeks and has the red spots on its shoulder. If it was golden it would be more red, white and gold and black patchworky. Illia will come at some point and throw her two cents in.

Thank You Lanae! I appreciate the input. My gut feeling is rooster....not sure why. Would a female have any color on her that looks like that dark mahogany or green tints in her feathers....seems to me the duckwing females look pretty plain colored.

I have some fun news! The Araucana eggs that I shipped to Alaska hatched out four chicks! I really didn't think there was much hope for them after traveling so far so I am delighted that she got some babies. I was especially worried after having a really sorry hatch myself this week - I thought that if mine at home failed to hatch (I got 5 chicks out of nearly two dozen eggs set) then there really wasn't any hope for those poor exhausted Alaska eggs. I guess this is why we crazy Araucana breeders keep at it - it works out just often enough to keep us going.
