When it comes to medication, it's always better to trust a more reliable source than people on the internet. When it comes to other things, like opinions and preferences, like how people clean their coops, how they brood their chicks, how they integrate new birds, what their observations are from years of experience, etc. etc. you can trust anybody you like, because there are many ways to do things and everybody's way can be right for their circumstances. When it comes to science and how medicine works though, there is less room for opinion, and opinion is not justifiable or trustworthy. Unless you are a scientist and can provide a solid explanation for why Amprolium does not work to prevent coccidiosis in chicks, the very thing it is used for.Maybe I shouldn't trust anyone here on BYC, which is where I got my information from, because it's on the internet?
YES im am having the same problem. dirty birds...Does anyone know how to keep sparrow away
How do you know that it's not common in your area? It's ubiquitous in soil and that's normal. Doesn't hurt to feed medicated, why not just do it as a preventative measure.Ok wait, If cocci is not common in my area or in the soil can i continue to feed non medicated?
