Oh wow! Yes, you really can see how much darker he is. Thanks for posting!I'm raising 4 welsummers to coop age for a friend. The females feathered in much faster than the one potential cockerel. He has dark chest feathers and they all have red colored chest feathers. And his comb is very red compared to theirs. They will be 4 weeks in a few days. First 2 pictures are the one I believe is a cockerel, third is a pullet. You can see the difference in color especially on their chests.
