Hello! I have 7 chickens who are almost 28 weeks, and 5 are laying (my olive eggers and black Australorps). My beilfelders though, are not. We thought we were getting barnevelders but we're given beilfelders, which I didn't do as much research about. They have been constantly going into the coop and nesting boxes throughout the day for weeks, scratching around, settling in, and then leaving. Do they tend to just lay later than the others? Do you think they won't lay till spring since it's starting to get cold and fall-y? I'm in Oregon, so we have mild but "who knows" winters.
