Do all of these birds need a min of 5 sq ft in the coop and 10 sq ft in the run (I'll probably give them more than that tho)? As of now, EE are my top choice. All are good producers. If you want birds with normal lifespans, avoid the Sexlinks. If you like the idea of pretty azure eggs, go with some Easter Eggers. Brown Leghorns lay white, and are the best producers on the list, but can be nervous and flighty.
White rocks, Black J Giants, Delawares, are good layers of brown eggs.
I personally would go with these:
EEs, (blue eggs, good producers sweet, any color plumage)
Black JGs, (Cream tan eggs, good layer, sweet, glossy black plumage)
Delawares (brown eggs, sweet, good layer, white with black neck and tail speckles)
White Rocks (light brown eggs, good layer, sweet, white plumage)
Maybe category:
New Hamp. Reds :
Red Sexlinks are sold under this name often.
Brown Leghorns: AWESOME producers, but like I said, flighty.
Yes, most are full size birds who need some space. Mine are very similar breeds, and all have ~5 sq ft in the coop. EE are great!Do all of these birds need a min of 5 sq ft in the coop and 10 sq ft in the run (I'll probably give them more than that tho)? As of now, EE are my top choice.
