As pertaining to your question, Bobwhite is one aggressive breeds of quails depending on the genetic and what breeders you purchase them from. I've raised birds for many years and Bobwhites only twice. Bobwhites need lots of space and always ensure there is plenty of food and water because they will hack each other to death. And if you plan on brooding chicks during the fall or winter, make sure there is an adequate amount of heat at all times because Bobwhite chicks are very susceptible to chill and they will drop like flies (based on my own experience). In comparison to Coturnix, I work well with this breed and in my own opinion, they are much more convenient to raise. Higher rates of eggs fertility, less susceptible to diseases, do well in cold environment, eat like machines first 2-3 weeks, productive/grow fast/high yield if you do plan on starting a business etc. and best of all they start to lay eggs as early as 6 weeks and also reach maturity. Bobwhite Quails take longer time to mature and start laying eggs. By the time they hit maturity age and begin to lay eggs, Coturnix already have 2-3 generations. Hope this helps provide you a broader view.
