Are both my EE's Roos?

My smaller, partridge colored EE developed a coral-colored comb larger and wider than that of my other EE at around 6 weeks. It hasn't grown or gotten redder but I've got my eye on her! From what I gather, what we *don't* want to see is mahogany red patches coming in on their shoulders. Otherwise, this is typical pullet coloring.

Here she is at 7 weeks:

400

And this is at 8 weeks:

400

Maybe we've got a couple of quickly maturing pullets that will lay early. (Fingers crossed!)

Audrey is gorgeous!
My fingers are crossed along with ya!

At 9 weeks old, the brown one's color has not changed significantly. There are still no dark red shoulder patches, and there is hardly any change in the comb. It's still just barely pink, not red. I think the black and white one is definitely a cockerel. And the brown one is a pullet. Do a quick web search for partridge roosters and partridge hens to see the difference in male and female coloring.

Hennamedgen, do you have an update? My partridge colored EE has had no appreciable increase in comb size or color. At 12 weeks she is seeming more and more like a pullet to me.

That's great news! I am thinking the same with mine. Not really any changes in her either. I guess only time will tell though. Please keep me updated.
