My chickens won't die at 50F without a coop heater? While I am being knowingly facetious, I do refer to them as little dinosaurs. I find it useful in getting others to think about chickens differently, particularly when they are already humanizing them and expressing concern about them being outside in the 40s and 50s (above zero).
I'm good either way on the subject. I got click baited at work by the article and it was a fun little read. I thought it might get some interesting perspectives on here. Being in my 5th decade...I don't mind wanting to be a kid sometimes or at least thinking like one occasionally. I'm over the whole life is so serious all the time mind frame I possessed in my 30s and 40s. I do agree though...if one wants better information for the sake of argument, a .org or .edu is usually much better.I believe they're dinosaurs.
I go to sites under, .org .net, or .edu for the stuff I read.
Though I do go to sites with .com occasionally if that's the only thing available.

Another for kids though.
That is also how and why I refer to them as dinosaurs. While I am being knowingly facetious, I do refer to them as little dinosaurs. I find it useful in getting others to think about chickens differently, particularly when they are already humanizing them and expressing concern about them being outside in the 40s and 50s (above zero).
Thus the reason chickens have teeth and tails buried in their genome.
