My first bantam cochins 11 years ago were hatchery babies(Ideal) beautiful birds, long lived, good layers of 2fers(2=1) No complaints. In fact restocked w/ hatchery babies. Cochins, silkies, frizzels and Mille Fleur D'Uccles oh yeah a trio of standard red cochins. Order you a mix. All arrived healthy and happy. The silkies are all bearded. The standards are just funny to watch next to all the lil bantams. When they are about 2 mths old look like balls of feathers. Actually I run a cochin roo with all my girls and keep the other roos in pens. Cochins are very friendly. You can go out and just pick them up. Very happy w/ all my hatchery babies.

Okies sounds great. I just set 30 eggs into the incubator, which already included 7, and I expect 12 more next week. Surely to goodness I'll have plenty to spare. Almost all of them are mottled bantam cochins, I think a few might be white or black.

I am wanting to get about 3-4 showquality from them. Then give a few to my neighbor (for loaning me their incubator), some for my SIL, and now you!

I love my bantam cochins, they are wonderful little birds and my kids can hold them and they dont make a fuss. Even the roo

Which by the way started crowing yesterday its the funniest sound, like he's dying. Does it at 5:00 a.m.

then by dog barks at him and wakes us up. So I let the dog in, let the chickens out to free range and he doesnt crow anymore.

Good Roo
