Are ducks louder than beagles? Labs? What about schedules?

I have two hens--a blue Swedish and a Cayuga. They do have pretty good volume but they don't quack constantly. They mostly quack when they see one of us in the yard or to alert the rest of the flock of something out of the ordinary. They are good watch ducks! Definitely less annoying than a barking dog that won't shut up for hours on end.

How are the runners from ideal? I don't need show quality but i want one that will stand very straight up.

I can't get the muscovies from a hatchery unless i can find someone willing to sell just two.

I know but i think i would probably go with two straight runs of show quality. That way i win anyway it goes.
