Are ducks not the best?

I have to say ducks are the best. I love mine and will also give a shout out to the drakes as well, poor guys get a bad rap and bless their hearts it's not their fault they are crazy.
I have 2 drakes and 10 females and even though they are all kept together they never mingle as one flock my Runners and Buffs keep to themselves and my Muscovy's keep to them selves . They all get along too even the drakes. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought a Muscovy drake could live side by side with a Runner drake never worked when I had other Muscovy drakes. [I think Opie is still trying to figure out if Snoop the Runner drake is really a duck]

And I vote along with the ducks a pool for them @harmonymw

I’m not sure it matters. The ducks are so used to going in the pool, they’ll probably go in it with the kids if it becomes a Human pool. I hope chlorine kills duck poop ick.

We lost two ducks to a hawk,we didn't realize the predator was a hawk untill it was too late.we also have six black baby ducks that will be ready too go in with the big ducks very soon.

The one bad thing about ducks - the ratio requirements!!! I unfortunately have to say goodbye to two of my three ducklings from this spring in just over a week.

I lost the duckling lottery this year and got three drakes. This is not ideal for my 2 girls (last years I won the duckling lottery and got three girls! - lost one to a bobcat over the winter). They have just recently started eating out of my hand too. Its the best when you earn that bit of trust. Here are my three boys watching the pool be filled.

I'm keeping only drakes. They're easy to get that's for sure.

I went to feed my ducks last night and while I was bent over one of the ducks mistakenly picked up a dog turd instead of their feed. Then she proceeded to fling it on my hair and face.

Good thing they are so cute. Because they are disgusting quite often.
