Are EE's good layers?

I am sure they lay but how do they compare? I want eggs but I love my EE's too. As I study chickens I am finding out the ones I like more and the ones that lay more. I would not be happy with a one color one type of chicken flock. I just love them all. LOL However, I am liking the Delawares and rhode Island red that I have. they are friendly and sweet. My Astralorp is very friendly and nice too. So I guess I will have to wait and see what happens with these that I have.

I dunno what part of Idaho you're in, but my friends have a quality Black roos and a Blue hen of true Ameraucanas just below Preston (SE Idaho). The hen is a heavy layer of good olive-green eggs and her hatch rate has been excellent. The daughter of theirs that we used to have laid turquoise-blue eggs, so the roo must carry nice blue-egg genes. They might be willing to sell some eggs or chicks. If you are interested, let me know.
