if you look at my page i have my roost behind my door when i open it [it is right of the door by the right widows] my nest is to my left of the door and my feeders on left one under window and other is on the opposite side by my coop door. when i go into the coop they are out in the run or nest or eating ,but when i do go into the run they do come running out of the coop for the treats . when i open the door i swing it inwards to push back the chickens if not they will run out until i start throwing there treats or put the treat dish down
yes my girls want privacy when they laid their eggs i have to leave the build special my EEs. i will take more pic of my coop in the next couple of days.
anyway you would need fresh air to go into your coop during the winter so i don't see any problem if u open your human door up to 3 x day unless your door is on the north side where u will get a pile of snow there]
