for those of you who have hatched eggs, do you know if the elongated ones are roosters? I have heard that somewhere before.
It is interesting, a friend and I are hatching eggs, all the elongated ones hatched before the more round ones.. just wondering if
it was coinsidence, or what.

Nope, not true; that's one of those old myths that never dies. I have a hen who always lays very rounded oval eggs and she throws 95% cockerels. The sex of the chick is determined before the shell is even formed on the egg and by the hen, not the male as it is in humans.

Think about it. If it was true, then hatcheries would never hatch more males than they need and wouldnt dispose of millions a year.
