Are Faverolles born with 5 toes??

Hi All,

I know this may seem a silly question, but we bought some Salomon Faverolle hatching eggs, and our first chick hatched yesterday. It has only 4 toes, should they be born with 5?

Faverolles are standard everywhere, not like Aracaunas. Straight comb, beard, muffs, feathered legs, five toes, white skin. All those characteristics are present at hatch.

Yes, faverolles have 5 toes.

ETA does it only have 4 toes on each foot, or does one have 5 and the other 4?

It should also have puffy cheeks and a puffy beard once it dries off.

Try again ! We got them offline, from a breeder in the UK. They have other breeds advertised, why is why I was worried. I've tried to attach a picture. Eggs are creamy/light brown. Chick does have some black spots on head

Egg color sounds about right. No puffy cheeks? I'm going to have to look to see if UK Faverolles are different at all. .
