Are flashlights harmful to hatching eggs.

    I have a couple eggs I'm incubating and I love to watch them through the plastic of the incubator with a flashlight over the top. I don't shine the flashlight directly over the eggs but its a really strong flashlight. would this be harmful to the chicks inside? Day 20 btw!

    No, that's fine. Candling involves shining a bright flashlight directly through the egg to see them and it doesn't hurt them one bit :) Might wake them up though :lau
