Are illegal immigrants a BIG issue where you live?

Can I just point out that we ALL started out as "illegals" unless you are Native American!
"illegal aliens" wouldn't even be a problem if Americans could afford to live normally. We wouldn't even care....but...since we encourage outsourcing of American jobs because we "can't" see how buying cheap = buying from another country hurts us in the big picture things will never change...and that doesn't matter WHO you vote for!

We were founded to be a country that welcomed the individual who was escaping oppression in their country...but that was because we were a country who didn't need other countries to thrive and live.
We now IMPORT more FOOD than we export!!!!
We now OUTSOURCE more jobs than we preform!!!
Our currency is bankrupt and we OWE money to foreign countries!!!

Believe me when I tell you that we have WAY BIGGER problems than "illegal aliens". Do I think we should close our borders??? YES..alteast until we can get our own house in order....but the fact that they are here is NOT our biggest problem.

I agree. It was the comment about expediting citizenship to those completing their PhD of MD in this country. We should be emphasizing education to citizens of the US first not necessarily encouraging coming to this country for an education.

Something comes to mind about "terrorists" being here on student visas. I don't have any particulars though.

I honestly agree with some of the doctors here even in ER I have a very difficult time lipreading them (yes I am deaf and I do speak and lipread well). For heavens sake, they didnt have to yell at me to find out what am I doing here in the ER and whats my complaints. Majority of them are from India. Mind you, I love the people themselves but their heavy accents and poor English is bad let alone knowing that you have a deaf patient. If I can not understand your accent, please practice your English more or hand write English so I can understand you. UGH! However I love my old woman family doctor who she was a young India that spoke wonderful English even she had an accent but it was clear as a bell in our communications.

Sometimes I question on their education of English since where they are from in India, English is not widely or majority spoken. Hindi I think is their language.

Only two MD Indian in our city were deported back to their mother country for fraud, illegially working without a green card or expired card and malpractice....that is a very small number of honest Indian doctors coming in the US.

who said illegal immigrants was our biggest problem? it was only a topic, i musta missed it,, i think its a big problem, but not even close to our BIGGEST problem.
